Bajans overwhelm their Antipodean visitors

After a victorious (and notorious!) tour of Jamaica in 2009, it was inevitable that the next step on the Caribbean odyssey for Team Australia, after a hiatus of several years  would be a visit the land of rum and flying fish.  This time around, the Australians, who were generously sponsored by Virgin Atlantic were bringing a 13-goal team for the TeleBarbados Polo Challenge series.

Martini Bars, Pink Champagne, and a bevy of “beautiful” boys to serve it all up closed off the 2010 Barbados Polo Season in rather distinctive style. The G4S Challenge Trophy, “Cocktails & Cupcakes” charity event at Clifton, was hosted for a cause which is close to everyone’s heart. Breast Cancer.

One could be forgiven if they were a little confused into thinking  that the below is an excerpt from the Bradley Cooper movie “The Hangover”; whilst there are elements of this week’s “adventure” which would not be out of place in this particular dramatic extravaganza .....in reality this was the 2010 “Battle of the Sexes” , interrupted by rain.... enhanced by rum and infused with revelry.
