Chukka Blue Polo Club

The Chukka Blue facility was rebuilt on the site of what was previously the Hanover Polo Club, which was over 30 years old, and had changed ownership twice in the intervening years.   The viability of the field was threatened  with the development of the North Coast Highway, however after numerous negotiations it was agreed by the North Coast Construction company  that the field would be relocated and rebuilt (at their cost) to accommodate the highway. The new field was then renamed Chukka Blue, and 8 years on polo is being played in Hanover once again.

The Polo Clubhouse is now situated in a historical 1756 Windmill set beside the ruins of an old sugar mill factory, with what has been described as the most beautiful setting - having a panoramic view of the blue Caribbean coastlines as the backdrop and the majestic Blue mountains in the foreground.
